Install Money Printer
The direct edition arrives in a signed, notarized DMG with a familiar drag-to-Applications installer.
Install the direct edition
- Download Money Printer.dmg from the official Money Printer website or the latest GitHub release.
- Open the downloaded DMG.
- Drag Money Printer onto the Applications folder shown in the installer.
- Eject the Money Printer disk image.
- Open Applications, then open Money Printer.
- Complete the four setup steps. Money Printer then lives in the menu bar.
Money Printer is a menu-bar utility. It intentionally does not keep a permanent Dock icon. Look for the small banknote icon at the top of the screen.
macOS security
The direct edition is Developer ID signed and notarized for macOS 14 or later. On first launch, macOS may ask whether you are sure you want to open an app downloaded from the internet. Confirm Open after checking that the app is named Money Printer and identifies TheAvgDev as its developer.
Money Printer should not require you to bypass Gatekeeper, run Terminal commands, or weaken your Mac’s security settings. If macOS reports that the app is damaged or cannot be verified, delete that copy and contact support.
Updates
The direct edition checks for signed updates automatically. You can also choose Settings → About → Check for Updates. Mac App Store updates are delivered by the App Store.
Uninstall
Quit Money Printer from its menu-bar menu, then move Money Printer.app from Applications to the Trash. Earnings history remains in your user Library unless you remove it separately. Export a backup first if you may want to restore it later.
